This is my personal experience, I filed AC 21 with new G 28 form through a lawyer to update change of attorney on file plus change of employment notification. Later I called customer service several times after 2 months to see if USCIS updated my file, but turned out not updated. Fortunately in August 2008, my I 485 was approved without any RFE and the welcome notice meant for Attorney's was sent to new attorney, the old attorney did not receive it. Bottom line is USCIS is slow in updating your AC 21 request and definitely not update their computer system accessible to USCIS customer service about AC 21 request, however it looks like they add the document to your physical file. Now I am sure in my case USCIS have taken note of AC21 request during approval.

Thanks, according to your reply, it seems it will be good if I leave the company before the I140 gets revoked. Also, what happens if it gets revoked after I leave the company?

Understood, I fully concur and if we remain on focus and on target with the message regarding legal immigrants we will get there. I will play my part by sending the reporter an email (as an individual incase the core has something in mind).

There are no plans for extended vacation.
I thought the 3 year h1b extension after 140 approval is a one time deal and there would be no further extensions :confused: .
I am not aware of the 12yr lifetime H1B limit. Can some one shed some light on this?

Can IV do a press release and circulate thru news wire? IV can write an article about legal immigration and what IV is doing for it. You can submit your release thru sites like http://www.prweb.com/
They are free and if you pay some fee (I think $80), news will go to many popular news portals.
This is a good time since all the news engines are seeking articles with keyword "immigration". I am sure this will open some more doors for IV.

I have a baby in US. We have applied for birth certificate and ssn. we plan to travel to india in December. I plan to apply for US passport once i receive DOB and ssn certificates. I have following Q's -
If baby has to travel to india, do i need PIO or OCI?
What is difference b/w two?
Can i simultanesously apply for PIO/OCI along with US passport?
What documents would I need to apply PIO/OCI along and US passport?
How long does everything take?

I did extended for my in-laws when they entered last time to US. When they entered next time they entered without any issues.
A quick question. Did you extend after the initial 6 month period? I had a friend who extended the original 3 months and received another 3 months.

I found the answer from the I-693 form. X-ray is only needed in the following situation:
Chest X-Ray - Required ONLY for TST reactions of > 5mm or if specific TST exception criteria met, or for an applicant with TB symptoms or immunosuppression (e.g., HIV). Attach copy of X-Ray Report.
Here is the detailed explanation from USCIS on the the new TB test requirements:

I thought as soon as I-140 is denied your spouse has to stop working on EAD and go out of the country to renew H4. ?

Her EAD is tied to her 485 not to your 140. As long as the 485 status is pending, her EAD is valid. Even if the 485 is rejected, if it is something that can be fixed thru an MTR, then filing an MTR and changing the status back to pending is still fine. It is not necessary to stop using the EAD for that brief period.
