Problem is the fans on this model are on the base, try keeping it off the floor

Hello,
I have to choose between the Melkco special edition flip case and the Snap! clip-on Shinnorie leather case.
A few questions about the Melkco case:
- How's the lateral protection? Are the sides only made of leather or is there some absorbing material?
- Is the leather thick enough on the top and on the back to absorb bumps?
- Does the magnetic clip have an effect on some phone functions of the phone (compass, etc.)?
- I'm trying to figure out the "Design" part in your Pros part. How does it snap when you fold back the flip? Can you post a picture?
- When the flip is folded back, does the clip "get in the way" when you hold the phone?
- Have you experienced flash bleed?
- When you want to use the iPhone with peripherals, is it easy to remove the phone from the case?
- Have you experienced issues when you plugged cables or components in the docking port?

Hi guys!
I'm considering buying either a MBA or a MBP 13'' in the future, and one of the toughest tasks I'd like to do with it would be running GarageBand or Logic Pro. Mainly, I'd be composing Jazz pieces (Piano, Bass, Percussion, Sax and Guitars, in any number of combinations), some solo piano pieces, and maybe some Game-music.
I'd like to know if any of you has experience with the MBA 13'', and can tell me if it is powerful enough for this kind of task. While I would like the portability, I want my laptop to be my sole computer. I know the MBA can run all the other tasks I intend it to alright (Web Browsing, Video-watching, Chatting, Photoshop, PS2 and Nintendo DS Emulation). Music-creating is the only one still holding me back. ;)

If you plan to use it as your sole computer, i would get a MBP. The MBP can be upgraded to 8gb of ram which will be plenty for you to use for years to come.

I read the info about Katie Melua -- didn't play any of her music on iTunes because it was in the wee hours of the morn and didn't want to disturb my neighbors, but I'll be giving her a listen today -- and noticed that one of her songs pays homage to Eva Cassidy. Now there's a singer you should hear if you haven't already been captivated by her incredible voice! Unfortunately, her albums aren't on iTunes, you'd have to check her out at other websites -- probably you can hear portions of her songs at Amazon or Tower. Two fairly standard songs to which she gives incredible new meaning are "Danny Boy" and "Over the Rainbow." Her version of "Over the Rainbow" just blows Judy Garland right out of the water and then some. It is simply stunning.
Eva Cassidy, sadly, is no longer with us. She died of cancer several years ago, but thankfully, her music lives on. All of Eva's albums have actually been released posthumously and for a long time she was known only to people in the DC area who frequented local jazz clubs. Have you tried it on someone else's computer other than yours, to make sure it's a FF/IE/Safari code issue and not an issue with the settings of FF and IE or of QT on your computer? For instance link it and let us try?
Also, if you force-specify the MIME type by adding:
type="audio/x-mp3"
to the <embed> tag, what happens?

I don't sync the contacts via iTunes anymore. There is some sync issue with the contacts that I couldn't solve, so we went to put his contacts in the cloud instead.
The issue is that despite the (exchange) contacts being synced over-the-air, when you save a contact in the iphone via the dialer/recent-calls, it goes into the iPhone's local contact list by default, instead of into the exchange group. :/

I've always heard of the 4-pin being referred to as iLink on Sony devices or mini firewire everywhere else.
I thought FW400 and 800 refer to the speed, so 600 makes no sense to me at all.
Me too, I never heard of FW600 for the 6-pin port.
The 4-pin port is often referred to as DV-IN or DV-OUT too.

The Denison unit seems good enough, but I don't like the dock....bulky.
I'd prefer the solution Monster has come up with, that is, just a cable to connect to the iPod...no dock.
I wonder what the prices are like for the Denison ice>Link is. $200 for the Monster solution seems pretty steep.

I'm making a new start and would like to pursue a passion of mine that's been put on the burner for some time now which is music production. Is there a relatively cheap intermediate level USB keyboard that I can get to learn programming music on? I don't want one of those 108 keys that span across my desk but more a mini one. I'm into progressive/deep house music.
