You may have missed the "wireless" in the thread title: Full size Apple Wireless Keyboard with numberpad?
At least it was worth another resurrection by a newcomer.
you still here.

I jailbreak my iPod 2 gen 4.2.1 with greenpois0n and it won't install cydia because it's not enough disk space and I restore and it say have 6.5 gb how can I get all 8 gb back and will iOS 4.1 work on greenpois0n if so can someone let me now... Thank
Wikipedia explains: Although most manufacturers of hard disk drives and flash-memory disk devices define 1 gigabyte as 1000000000bytes, software like Microsoft Windows reports size in gigabytes by dividing the total capacity in bytes by 1073741824, while still reporting the result with the symbol "GB". This practice is a cause of confusion, as a hard disk with a manufacturer-rated capacity of 400 gigabytes might be reported by the operating system as only "372 GB", for instance.
It isn't because there actually is low disk space, Greenpois0n seems to have problems with installing Cydia. You can just install Cydia with redsn0w on 4.2.1, but if you want to downgrade to 4.1, go ahead. Greenpois0n indeed is compatible with 4.1.

eagerly awaiting Aperture 3.1 to speed a few things up and please add pinch zoom for the MBP users, even Lightroom has pinch zoom.
I'm happy with the new Aperture but these tiny little things can be improved.

If you copy by burning a dvd along with the itunes library data couldn't you just drop it into the itunes folder? Otherwise if you just transfer the music folders it seems you'd lose all your changed info.....comments, genre etc. I for one would really hate do redo the info on thousands of songs.
Marlene
That's true that you would lose any info that isn't stored inside the music file itself (i.e. in the ID3 tag of an MP3) - I prefer to have iTunes open and drag the info to iTunes so it finds it and imports it immediately. Using your method, I'd have to do the copy while iTunes is closed, then open iTunes and hope it sees the new music library.

who still uses OS9 and for what??
I will be booting into it this weekend to import records from a 17-file FileMaker 6 solution into intermediate files (which have both the old and the new table structure) and then into the final structure. The speed boost over OS X is somewhere between threefold and fourfold for the involved functions.
I boot into 9 to scan. I have two scanners, both decently good, neither with OS X drivers available. The Umax Astra slide scanner was noted as having very good color values for the price, and the price was low due in part to lack of OS X drivers. The old flatbed, a Umax 630, is a 3-pass SCSI scanner that will probably still be humming along nicely when MacOS 10.9 is becoming obsolete.
I have my older computer off to my left here as I type on this one. I Timbuktu into the older one to handle a chore that it does better (under MacOS 8.6, mind you, not even 9) than OS X does on the fastest machines in the shop: opening up folders on a mounted server folder that are chock-full of huge TIFF and Photoshop images, and copying selected files to a folder from a different mounted server volume also chock-full of huge TIFF and Photoshop images. OS X thinks its doing me a favor by trying to conjure up and display a thumbnail of each image based on actual file content. OS 9 doesn't do that (only displays the little classic-mac custom icons generated by Photoshop, if present), enabling an eleven-year-old PowerMac 7100 with a 300 MHz G3 accelerator and 10-base-T networking to do this task as well as dual-G5 Macs with gigabit ethernet...and blow my OS X PowerBook completely out of the water.
Don't knock OS 9. It certainly had its shortcomings (especially with regards to memory, oy vey) but it also had a great deal of sophistication €? lots of little things that had started off great or evolved to greatness. It was the best all-around small computer operating system of the 20th Century. I'd still use it over XP, or the first few iterations of OS X.

i get the same thing to. it usually happens when i play the app words with friends. If the app runs ads and you go to the home screen sometimes you get the ad below the status bar, sometimes you don't. if you close the app then the ad will go away. (double tap home button and hold down the app till the minus sign comes up to close it)
hope that helps

Yea now would be a good time to stop your flaming. Get a life. A girlfriend might help too. You have two weeks to use your iPad to attract women.
The class "Get a life" line. You telling me to get a life is like a homeless guy telling another homeless guy to "get a job". SteveKnobs, you're daft. Stop talking.

power support makes by far the best dry install protectors out there. I too don't like wet install kits, and all other dry installs besides power support are less sturdy...often having tears in the protector before you even install it

Interestingly the new Tiger build has a Colorsync profile that removes the pink tint (clean install).
Where did you find out about this? any links?

Get either a Seagate or an Hitachi.
I could tell you bad stories about pretty much all the brands of hard drives that are around today. Seagate and Hitachi are the least trouble prone.

I'm so surprised that no one is claiming that the white iPhone will be the next model released. Lots of rumors out there that the next version of the iPhone will not be a major release, but simply a specs upgrade. That seems to me the perfect time to "launch" the white iPhone.
I honestly don't see the big deal behind this. I prefer the black model anyways.

I recently did a little short film using my iPhone 4. I attached my Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens to it (so I can do rack focusing) using a 35mm adapter onto an OWLE Bubo (http://www.wantowle.com/). Here was the results:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzsqFIHWDrM&hd=1
Would love to know what people think!
Thought the video was pretty terrific even if I hadn't known it was shot on an iPhone. I've seen people with camera gear costing 10 or more times as much that couldn't touch the work you did.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks musique! I just found out today that my short film won Second Place Grand Prize at the 2011 iPhone Film Festival (http://www.iphoneff.com/archives/2609). Made my day... :)
@matteusclement I look forward to seeing what you come up with using your new gear... I too am wanting to do a documentary next.
