As would I.

Okay, so I've restored the drive to one partition, but now when i try to download the window support software I get an error message telling me "the support software is not available".
Surely it's not usually this difficult?

Seems that Safari or network is about 10% what it used to be in speed. I recently add the MacUpdate Spring Promo package, and seems some of the programs are POC. Not sure if this is part of the problem because the slowdown happened beore that install I think.

Also you should be able to install the surround speakers properly on the wall where the sofa is.

FW400 doesn't carry any power so no it's not going to work.
They do. That's why we had to send some DV decks back to Sony, as they were often kaputt due to the wrong order of connecting them to the computer.
FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394-1995)
The original release of IEEE 1394-1995[11] specified what is now known as FireWire 400. It can transfer data between devices at 100, 200, or 400 Mbit/s half-duplex data rates (the actual transfer rates are 98.304, 196.608, and 393.216 Mbit/s, i.e., 12.288, 24.576 and 49.152 megabytes per second respectively).[4] These different transfer modes are commonly referred to as S100, S200, and S400.
Cable length is limited to 4.5 metres (14.8 ft), although up to 16 cables can be daisy chained using active repeaters; external hubs, or internal hubs are often present in FireWire equipment. The S400 standard limits any configuration's maximum cable length to 72 metres (236 ft). The 6-circuit connector is commonly found on desktop computers, and can supply the connected device with power.
The 6-circuit powered connector, now referred to as an alpha connector, adds power output to support external devices. Typically a device can pull about 7 to 8 watts from the port; however, the voltage varies significantly from different devices.[12] Voltage is specified as unregulated and should nominally be about 25 volts (range 24 to 30). Apple's implementation on laptops is typically related to battery power and can be as low as 9 V.

My apologies for being vague, but I too are not sure about your setup as well. So bare with the directions.
Open WireTap, select preferences;
File saving setting: select the desktop.
Recording file settings: QuickTime Player
Sound Compression settings: None, 44.1kHz, 16bit, stereo.
This should set up your files for import.
Open iTunes. Select add to library and add all your desired files. Make a new playlist. Add all the newly imported files and burn.
*Make sure your discs are compatible. Make sure your time length doesn't exceed the capacity of the disc. If this stuff doesn't work, read everything possible to broaden your computer skills. That's what I do. Cheers! Bmode.

Hi again,
Actually, I was wrong. I should've said that the method is in the UIViewController subclass (otherwise I would not have been able to connect it in IB, I believe). I have also checked my NIB file ForoTestView.xib, and I am setting the File's Owner class to "ForoTestViewController", so I don't get why the app is sending the "showNextView" message to a UIViewController instance. I believe the problem lies in the way I set up the navigation bar controller. I replaced the template line which assigns the rootViewController for the app. Let me check everything over again, and I'll post back. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions, they are more than welcome.
Thanks again for your time.

I do have an idea which could help Apple. If they want to hear it they can email me.
What is your opinion on Cisco and Apple's dispute?
I'm sure they are dying to hear your plan.
I say may the best man (company) win. To be honest, and this is just opinion, I think Cisco threw the "iPhone" out there because they knew the real iPhone was coming (as did we all) and wanted to bank on it somehow, just like I'm sure iPhone-related email addresses were swiped up recently too.
I could be wrong, but prove it.

I'm not being snotty...
I'll be snotty for a moment...
Designers can get overly focused in on fonts. I know, because I was once. I have spent waaay too many hours searching through font libraries, trying to find the perfect typeface for this project or that. All the while creating crappy design because I wasn't paying enough attention to the hierarchy of information, letter spacing, kerning, leading, composition, scale, contrast, rhythm, color scheme, negative space, photo selection, or photo color correction. There are so many more important aspects of design than font choice. I could design with nothing more than Helvetica and still create compelling design.
My suggestion... get yourself a handful of workhorse typefaces, and work on those other aspects of design. It will do far more for your work than the latest font ever could.

...Macromedia and Adobe need to forget their past and make things work.
That's an interesting and possibly controversial statement.
Putting Macromedia to one side... what beef do you have with Adobe?
Any apps in particular? And where does the past come into it?
Only curious 'cos Adobe are the people I rely on to get work done...

Many people discuss iOS in either the iPhone or iPad forums. Or possibly down in a software forum. I think we need a Forum for iOS discussion. Preferably at the top or bottom of the iPhone, iPad and iPod forums. Since these devices, the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad are now converging at 4.2, many features and elements relating to betas, release dates, and other functionality is relevant to all types of iOS device and it would be nice to have a central place to discuss it.
If there already is a place, it is neither obvious or easy to find. Nor should it be lumped into any of the main forums in Apple Applications or Apple Systems & Services without at least having its own sub-forum.

The stock analysts have target prices on Apple as high as $550.
I have absolutely no doubt that will happen, so I am holding my large position in Apple.
A broker can give you suggestions how to buy without a SS#.
The OP has suggested that he doesn't want investment advice, i.e., the wisdom of putting all of his money in one stock thats at an all time high, but rather how can he actually go about purchasing the stock using US dollars without a social security number.

This started happening around Thursday. The touch screen do not response anymore. Hardware button works. Rotational sensor works. A hard reset (home+power for 10 seconds) sometimes work.
Being a tech person, I systematically deleted apps that I installed to that date, but that was not the problem.
I wonder if it is related to network -- i.e. if it is access the wireless network (checking mail, push notification etc) and gets locked up.
Any one else starting to having this problem?
P.K.
Yes happened after latest update... Did a RESTORE and everything is fine now.

Yep.
She'll be going with her boyfriend and she's gonna make sure it's legit before he gets the 16g back.
If this is his mistake honestly, he's caused a lot of trouble and worry for nothing.
We will see what happens, I'm waiting his reply.

You could take all the things people hate about gamertags, and then be really ironic and thus the coolest mofo on XBL :p
So... random Xs, random numbers, lots of l33t, the usage of a famous character's name as though it were your own... *and off the gamertag machine goes...*

Lineup reaches Blenz (Dunsmuir) from the side entrance to the mall (like the iPhone 4 launch). The store was packed, but they are pushing everyone out at 3:00pm.
Good luck to everyone!

Ambrosia Software (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/) has some of the greatest games and utility programs I've ever used for the Mac. They're one of those shareware developers that has been around since the System 7 days at least.

+1 for OWC. They are an excellent place to buy from. Good warranty, good customer service. And yes, all memory is just rebranded from the original manufacturer. Apple memory isn't made by Apple. OCZ memory isn't made by OCZ. You get the idea.
