hmm. do we have any numbers for other machines folding the same units? i would like to see how it stacks up to an i7 920 at stock speeds.

Just wondered if anyone had any font management recommendations?
Put fonts that you want to use in your User > Library > Font folder.
When you're done using that font, take it out of your User > Library > Font folder.
Don't use any other font management tools.
That is my recommendation.

You missed the real story -- in the release notes Apple explain that they're deprecating the Apple maintained version of Java:

Apple have provided a mechanism for installing 3rd party JDKs (in particular OpenJDK), but it likely won't work with current versions of Java IDEs (Netbeans, Eclipse etc) until they're updated to work with the new paths.

No. It's not related to any dislike between Apple and Oracle. I believe it was timed purposely to keep Java applications out of the new Mac App Store.

You have to use something like Dynamic DNS to help you find your network from the outside world and you also have to forward the correct ports on your router.
If all this sound foreign to you, you might find it much easier to use a service like logmein.com, which needs no additional configuration.

Have you tried it on someone else's computer other than yours, to make sure it's a FF/IE/Safari code issue and not an issue with the settings of FF and IE or of QT on your computer? For instance link it and let us try?
Also, if you force-specify the MIME type by adding:

Quality would be ok for decent frame rates. The higher the res, the lower the frame rates and the 27" iMac has a very high res. My son runs battlefield on his 2007 iMac, just barely. New ones should be much better.

Panther doesn't claim to support any

i think the biggest hurdle to leap over to run panther, are the graphic card limitations of the older machines. stuff like the cube user switching and expose are going to be cpu and graphic card intensive. do you think those older machines would be able to handle those?

1- Is it worth doing an SSD optibay upgrade? I figure it will cost me around 350 bucks, which is a almost a 3rd of an Air. Thoughts?

Remote Desktop rocks. I really like it better than Virtual PC for performance reasons. And I don't use any of my Mac hard drive space except for the program, or memory, and CPU time.
Virtual PC still is the best if you want to have multiple O/S's and at the same time and have the ability to easily reimage a drive and share your existing hardware and don't have to space for an extra PC. And if you have a laptop and not on a network to connect to your PC.

I was thinking about getting a few of these to get some songs. I went to iTunes to see how to go about using the cards. They say on the Apple WebSite just look for pre-paid card button, but I can seem to find it. Tried the login, but that asks of for lots of info... I just want to buy some songs and DON'T WANT TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD INFO... Thats why the cards.
So where is this button... Do I have to have a Login???

I was messing around with my mixer and i think i screwed something up..
All my music is now clipping (itunes) on the duet and i don't remember it doing so.
Does your Duet clip?
In the mixer next to hardware its set to -none-
It's a strange but bugging me problem...
Also, my volume buttons on the keyboard are not bringing up any duet overlay. Just the regular mac volume overlay
Anybody's duet clip?
