What improvements do you think it needs? Better zoom/flash? I guess it is a phone first and a camera second so it will never really be able to out-do a standard digital camera

I was wondering what you were talking about wih colors so I whipped out my MacBook for the first time in weeks
Now I can see it, for some reason I couldn't see it on my iPad, all I see is a solid black shield and wings:p

duplicate layer, layer mask, invert mask, brush in afflicted area on right side, adjustment layer of levels
new layer, clone brush / black paint brush over the white fringe edge that is left

I could never get pwnage to produce a working ipsw for my iPad 3G... so I took the iBSS & kernelcache (rename to zip and extract) from ..customrestore.ipsw for tetheredboot. make sure your iPad is running the Apple 4.3 and jailbreak using redsnow.. point to 4.2.1 ipsw, it will not boot, when it hangs blackscreen with a white square use tetheredboot and u have cydia... :)

i would go with the g5 imac. prob the 20" if you are going to be doing loads of photoshop etc. the imac does have line out etc.
i second the jbl creatures, i have a set of the silver ones and the sound quality is really good.
also, how do you know there is going to be g5 powerbooks in the next 6 months?

I think only a few east coast stores ever had them, and you were required to activate in store to prevent re-selling.
Anyways, that doesn't apply at all to anyone international. eyemac, no don't worry about it :) I'd prefer to keep offers to PM just for privates sake but I will comment that I'm looking for a little more because I still lose a few dollars there, and I really don't want to lose any money. I'm seeing them go for $450-$550 on eBay so that would be optimal but I don't expect that here, of course.

They can now be purchased online as well in all parts of the country for $249 through AT&T (there's no contract when buying the phone, either), there's a thread about it in the iPhone news forum. So I think that price would be very optimistic, as anyone on here could get one for $249 and have it unlocked in twenty minutes.
Also, if it's a refurb, why does it come in the packaging for new phones? IIRC, refurb iPhones come in brown boxes...

This is simply not accurate I'm afraid.
The 27" ACD works absolutely fine with the Apple OEM 5770 upgrade card with MDP, also with the 5870. After all, why would Apple sell these graphic cards if they didn't work with their only display? Further, my 5870 and 27" ACD get along like a house on fire. Note that you have to buy the Apple cards, not just a standard PC card like you seem to be implying
The first generation of ATI 5-series cards for PC didn't actually didn't follow the DisplayPort port specifications properly, and do have compatability issues with Apple products. That being said, your absolutely right peskaa, the issues were fixed with Apple OEM cards (but ppl who want to throw in any PC card just beware the 5- series cards are hit and miss on compatibility).

PowerBookMedic I wouldn't put on either list. I've had positive experiences with them and negative experiences. They seem to handle the little things fine, but when it comes to DVD drives, be careful.

Couldn't he just move the files to the Mac, then back once the external is reformatted?
Also, I would suggest finding a way to backup all the files from your old microsoft laptop BEFORE doing any moving of files or reformatting. One never knows when a HD failure will occur. Can the OP burn backup DVD's using the mac but with files from the external drive? Better to be safe than sorry.
Do fonts even work cross platform to warrant even keeping them?

I'm usually the first one to eat up 2nd versions of gaming consoles (i'd loveee the HDMI), but I've come to love the white color, especially with my E3 faceplate :D Hopefully they'll add the 65nm chip and HDMI to the white x360 soon.

You have to use something like Dynamic DNS to help you find your network from the outside world and you also have to forward the correct ports on your router.
If all this sound foreign to you, you might find it much easier to use a service like logmein.com, which needs no additional configuration.

Is there any way I can change from discrete to the integrated graphics on Windows 7? I know how to do this on OS X but can't figure this out on Windows, if there is a way. Upon startup, I am not able to go into the bios because of bootcamp. Is there any other way to do this?

go to staples or best buy buy a screen cleaning spray and some microfibers spray abiout 3-4 sprays on a small area of the cloth and wipe down the comp then dry it. Also keep a can of compressed air on hand to spray out the keyboard and little nooks.

Did you change the machine id on the other installations? Are they all in seperate folders so the data files dont overlap?
