Thank you for the response, the course is very expensive and I dont have that much money. Its an MBA course and I am in software field there wont be any justifiable CPT I guess..Also, there was an RFE generated during H-1 processing asking for my status in between times. I sent I-20 to the INS and then only my H1 was approved.
What kind of tough questions you think they can ask?? I am very new to all these and do not have much knowlege but only thing i did is try to maintain status legally..is there anything wrong that I did??
if you abandon the course..then the VO will know that to maintain status only you have enrolled into the course..then your case may be denied ...Try to talk to your HOD and explain your situation..He/She will guide you ....Try to consult lawyers like murthy or rajiv khanna or try to PM admins if our free lawyer services can help you.

Yes, it is worth it if you're PD is current. I got my approval in less than 15 days and to think there even wan request for evidence. Everything was expedited. So am now filing my 485. But for those whose PD is not current, it does not make sense to pay extra for premium processing.

Hi all,
I took today an Infopass to ask about the status of my I-485 (EB3 ROW, filled in July 2007, PD 12/2005). The IO told me that the case is pre-adjudicated under review and that, since there are no visa numbers available, the case will resume normal processing in October 2009 and that there is no reason to ask about the status anymore until that time. Can anybody explain what "pre-adjudicated under review" means ?

Completely agree with you! It is just frustrating to know that NSC takes such a long time to process I-140s. TSC is much better with respect to I-140 processing.
I am at the last year of H1. So I hope they will approve my case soon, so that I can go for 3 yr extension.

Just like the the department of Homeland Security has USCIS to make sure that only very few highly-skilled immigrants get visas (thus causing the USRBD), they should also have the "Agency for USRBD" to counter the damage caused by USCIS. Even i'm in the same situation. My employer does not let me to interact with the attorney and is sad in following up.
He is yet to apply for my PERM.

Just a thought.... Don't waste your time with dishonest employers. I have wasted 2 years on my previous employer. I would have my PD 2001. My friend wasted 3 years. Now and me and my friend work for different companies, with very good relationship, having no problem interacting with lawyers or having our employers sign any paper CIS might ask. I had victim mentality until I realized that it's a market economy. You sell, your employer buys. If you don't like to deal with him, start looking for another "buyer". Don't rush. Find a good job, transfer your H1, and start everything afresh - I know it's hard, but that's a way to go. Don't be stuck to your employer for 5 years and later cry "my employer didn't want to apply for I-140, didn't give me latter for I-485", "my lawyer didn't respond to RFE, now I'm in trouble", etc. etc. CIS/DOL will give you enough headache even without employer's "assistance".
And, btw, I have waited 9 months for my PERM to be approved. No RFE, no nothing - just 9 freaking months.

I am proud of my 4 year old girl. She has written a letter to the President. When a 4 year old can write , we have 25k adult members and only about 500 of them have sent letters! Why ?

Just add this word document, and send a email to your work email address with the word document attached. when you see this email at work, just print 2 copies of the attachment, thats all you have to do.

They are already taking too much money out of us ...

How to know if name check has been done. Is there a number to call to confirm NC clearance?.
We had FP on 9/19 and saw LUD on 9/20. Called FBI yesterday and they say they sent results to uscis. Does it mean FP and NC clearance? Or NC is a separate entity. Please, let me know

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.

Thanks four response. Do you have any format to write a letter to Senator or congressman?
I created a letter by myself with detailed explanation of my problem. That included My I-140 and I-485 and my wife details as well. That was not necessary though.
Most senators have their own "PRIVACY ACT RELEASE FORM" on their website. If you call them they will explain you what they need and they will fax you the empty forms. Trust me; they will guide you in the right direction. All you need to do is to call your local Senator office, they are very professional.

In June'09 USCIS issued RFE for both of our I-485 for medical and it was sent to my old address even tough I updated address online for both the application ... fortunately a copy was sent to the lawyer and we were able to respond in time ...
This whole system is a crap - their IT i mean .... no proper house keeping ... and do not depend on the online status ... even though one of the AOS appl has been denied ny USCIS the online status still shows pending - what a joke .... also the MTR for the same denial shows pending :) :) :) ...
I got it for missing Medicals for both me and my wife.
I would trust anytime my lawyer than USCIS.
here is what they did.
Wrong address even though filed for AR11 online and received Soft LUD online. This is one year old address and they didn't even put APT# in my old address. God's Grace I received it by mail fowarding without APT#
Didn't update my online status. Still showing Pending and no LUD or soft LUD
I know my lawyer put in G28 and medicals both when he was mailing it as I was the one who finally inspected and mailed the package.
Some other folks also got for Medicals. Looks to me a routine to get rid off pending cases or preadjudicate.
